General description: In the southern part of the Lower Volga Region (Kalmykia, Astrakhan Region, southeast Volgograd Region) the species is as widespread, common and abundant as M. structor. In the south of the Volgograd Region, west of the Volga River, it is much rarer and mainly occurs on sands.
